Joan Covey

Joan Covey, born Joan Kilmer, was born February 15, 1937. She departed this earthy life on Sunday, December 11, 2022, at the age of 85.

Joan was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Eula (Plaster) Kilmer, mother of the late Robert Murray and Bronc Shoulders, and sister of the late Carl Kilmer, Jack Kilmer, and Wanda Austin.

She is survived by her children, Ronda Henderson, Lloyd Murray and his wife, Michelle, six grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and many beloved friends.

Joan worked as a hairdresser for many years, and she also worked as a cook at the field trials. She loved painting, canning, and helping those in need. She volunteered at the food pantry and free store for many years, and she was active in her church.

She will be missed by many.

There will be a graveside service to be scheduled in the future at Shaddy Cemetery.
