Jocelyn A. Cameron

May 8, 1931 — July 21, 2008

Jocelyn A. Cameron, daughter of the late Leonard and Pearl (McKiver) White, was born on May 8, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and went to Heaven on Monday, July 21, 2008. She was 77 years, 2 months, and 13 days of age.
Jocelyn grew up and attended school in Minnesota and graduated from Bricelyn High School in 1950. She was united in marriage to Lynn Merrill Cameron on March 3, 1951 in Bricelyn. Five children were born to this union. They moved from Stewartville, Minnesota to Missouri in 1972 and made their home near Mtn. Grove where they lived for thirty-seven years. Mr. Cameron passed away January 22, 2008.
Jocie was a loving and caring sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Mtn. Grove and taught Sunday School classes for many years. She loved music, did gardening and ceramics, loved to travel and cherished time spent with family.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother: Vincent White.
Jocelyn is survived by one son: Jeff Cameron and his wife, Melanie, of Pearland, Texas; four daughters: Julie Andrews and her husband, Bart, of Rogersville, Missouri, Lisa Millikan and her husband, Rusty, of Wichita, Kansas, Carol Johnston of Springfield, Missouri, and Laurie Barry and her husband, Todd, of Greenfield, Missouri; four brothers and their wives: Ronald and Mary Lou White of Bloomington, Minnesota, Gerald and Sandy White of Wenatchee, Washington, Gordon and Marty White of Bloomington, Minnesota and Stephen and Patty White of Garden Ridge, Texas; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
Funeral services for Jocelyn Cameron were held Friday, July 25, 10:30 AM in the First Baptist Church in Mtn. Grove with Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Song selections were “How Great Thou Art,” “When We All Get To Heaven,” and cd’s of “This One’s With Me,” and “I Want To Stroll Over Heaven With You.” Diana Edwards served as song leader and Nancy Doty served as pianist. Pallbearers were Jerry White, Todd Barry, Cody Barry, Brad Millikan, David Cameron, and Jeremy Cameron. Burial was in the Mtn. Valley Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Friday, July 25, 2008 at 10:30 AM in the First Baptist Church in Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
Visitation:
Friday, July 25, 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM before the service at the church.
Burial:
Mtn. Valley Cemetery
