John Joseph Scarfone

September 5, 1940 — March 10, 2007

John Joseph Scarfone, son of the late John and Marie (Giammarino) Scarfone, was born on September 5, 1940 in Port Chester, New York, and passed away on March 10, 2007 in the St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, Missouri, following a long illness. He was 66 years, 6 months, and 5 days of age.
John grew up and attended school in Port Chester. He was employed by Pitney-Bowes and retired following twenty-five years of service. He moved to the Mtn. Grove area several years ago and really loved being in the Ozarks.
He was a people person who enjoyed visiting with his family and being with his many friends. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. His favorite hobby was anything to do with motorcycles.
He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mtn. Grove. He enjoyed his church and being with his church family very much.
He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Marie Scarfone.
He is survived by his two daughters: Michele Cooper and Larry Cooper, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri and their daughters: Jessica, Jamie, and Lily; and Catherine Moran and her husband, Timmy, of Port St. Lucie, Florida and their children: Heather, Kevin, Erin, Bryce, and Megan; his father: John Scarfone of Port Chester, New York; one brother: Anthony Scarfone of Lawton, Oklahoma; three nephews; and other relatives and friends.
Family services will be at a later date in New York. Cremation and arrangements are under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
