Joyce Lewis

Joyce Faye (Plaster) Lewis, daughter of the late Otto and Della (Parsons) Plaster, was born December 16, 1948, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life February 6, 2022, at her home in Ozark, Missouri, with her husband, Jim, by her side. She is now in the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Besides her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold Plaster, Cleon Plaster, John Plaster, and Dwight Plaster, one sister, Ida Plaster, and Eric Lewis, her husband Jim’s son.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Jim Lewis, Jim’s daughter, Jana Lee and husband, Shannon, of Rogersville, Missouri, and their children and grandchildren, five sisters, Minnie Dowsey, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Wilma Taylor of Liberty, Missouri, Ava Mae Briscoe of Willow Springs, Missouri, Margaret Holden of Beggs, Oklahoma, and Mollie Riley of Mansfield, Missouri, and her twin brother, Jerry Plaster of Rogersville, Missouri.

Joyce enjoyed taking day trips with Jim to beautiful places and visiting with friends and family. Joyce had many nieces and nephews, as well as the two girls she helped raise as their babysitter, Emily and Sara. She had a special bond with her niece, Laurie, and her twin brother, Jerry. She will be dearly missed by them all, especially her loving husband, Jim, who cared for her faithfully.
