Joyce Virginia Deeds, daughter of Bill Hawkins and Nettie (Cunningham) White, was born December 18, 1954 in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Sunday July 29, 2012 at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 57 years, 7 months, and 11 days of age.
Joyce spent her early childhood near Parma, Idaho where she developed a life long love for the mountains before returning to the Ozarks with her family. In June of 2012 she was able to return to her childhood home.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father and an infant sister: Janet.
She is survived by her husband: Ron; her children: Kristen Mitchell and her husband, Clint, of Springfield, Missouri, Shawna Plummer and her husband, Jason, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Corey Deeds and his fiancé, Chelsie Moore, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; one grandchild: Katelyn Mitchell; her mother; four sisters; several nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
