Judy Marie O’Guin, daughter of the late Louis Fred and Willie (Williams) Franke, was born March 1, 1946, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, and passed away May 13, 2020, at Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri. She was 74 years, 2 months, and 12 days of age.
Judy married Floyd O’Guin on October 6, 1961. Four children were born to this union. They raised their children and made their home south of Norwood for over forty years. Floyd passed away September 1, 2008.
Over the years, Judy worked at several places including General Fibre, Louis Franke Septic Services, Brown Shoe Company, Juvenile Detention. She also ran the Apple Shed with her husband.
Judy received her GED in 2005. She enjoyed teasing her grandson, Kaleb, that she graduated before he did. She got her driver’s license the same day as her son, Paul.
Judy and her husband attended church at Oak Forest when they accepted Jesus as their Savior. They ministered together at Peace Valley, and then at Pleasant Hill for over twenty years.
Judy enjoyed playing Spades and board games and cooking for her family. She especially loved her grandbabies and the time she spent with them.
Besides her parents and her husband, Judy was preceded in death by one son, Paul O’Guin, two brothers, and by three sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Paula Allsman of Norwood, Missouri, Lucky O’Guin of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and Rose Woods of Norwood, Missouri, one sister, Lois Johnson of St. Louis, Missouri, twenty-one grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.
