d. March 29, 2007

Leon Mitchell, 45, of Hartville, Missouri, a farmer and handyman, passed away on March 29, 2007 at his residence of natural causes. He was born on October 30, 1961 in Cabool, Missouri to Roy and Mary (Burdick) Mitchell. He attended Mtn. Grove High School and was a member of the Little Creek Baptist Church near Hartville. He was united in marriage to Sandra Kay Adamson on September 18, 2004 in Hartville, Missouri.
Leon was a strong believer in lending a helping hand and will be fondly remembered as a person who would “give the shirt off his back” to someone in need. He was an avid sportsman with strong political views.
He was preceded in death by his father: Roy Mitchell; and by his paternal grandparents and maternal grandfather.
Leon is survived by his wife: Sandra Mitchell of their home; his mother: Mary Mitchell of Hartville, Missouri; one brother: Tommy Mitchell and his wife, Darla; one sister: Betty Jo Jarrett and her husband, Ted, all of Hartville, Missouri; his maternal grandmother: Mary Louise Burdick of Lebanon, Missouri; his father and mother-in-law: Jim and Betty Adamson of Hartville, Missouri; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
