Lillian Good

Lillian (Harvey) Good, daughter of the late Roy and Mary (Bean) Harvey, was born on August 16, 1922 in Lake City,, Arkansas and departed this life on April 8, 2009 in the Kabul Nursing Home in Cabool, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 86 years, 7 months, and 23 days of age.
Lillian grew up and attended school in Dixie, Arkansas. She was united in marriage to Norman Ellis Good on December 4, 1939. Three sons were born to this union; Larry, John and Michael.
Lillian was employed as a factory worker after moving to Valley Park, Missouri, where she lived for several years. This is where she met her lifelong companion, Paul Shelton. They later moved to Mtn. Grove, Missouri, where she enjoyed being a homemaker, along with raising chickens, calves and goats.
Lillian was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her greatest joy and pleasure in life were her grandchildren. They brought her even greater joy with the addition of great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son: Larry Good; one sister: Ruby Joshlin; two brothers: Norman Harvey and Eugene Harvey; and by a grandson: Johnny Good.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law: John L. and Gloria Good of Lebanon, Missouri, and Michael and Diana Good of Mtn. Grove; three grandsons: Steven Good, Daniel Good and Matthew Good and their families; two granddaughters: Brenda Good and Lisa Reid and her family; two brothers: Arthur Harvey and his wife, Ann, and Roy Harvey, all of Lake City, Arkansas; three sisters: Helen Cox , Wava Fletcher, both of Paragould, Arkansas and Linda McNatt and husband, Bill, of Jonesboro, Arkansas; nine great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.

Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 1:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Saturday, April 11, 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM in the chapel before service.
