Lloyd Ray Bradshaw

Lloyd Ray Bradshaw, son of the late Jess Hile and Stella Alice (Raney) Bradshaw, was born on October 28, 1937 in San Jose, California, and departed this life on January 5, 2009 at his residence in Norwood, Missouri, following a long illness. He was 71 years, 2 months and 8 days of age.
Ray grew up in California and graduated from Campbell High School in 1956. During his childhood Ray was a member of the boy scouts. While in high school he served as a cadet and at the time of graduation, he attained rank of Staff Sergeant.
He was united in marriage to Patsy Johnson on June 29, 1958 in Norwood, Missouri. Seven children were born to this union. They raised their family in Campbell, California and moved to the Norwood area at the end of 2005.
Ray was a diesel mechanic and a truck driver for many years. In his early years, Ray enjoyed playing pool and bowling.
He was a loving and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. He truly enjoyed the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers: Floyd Bradshaw and Carl R. Bradshaw.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years: Patsy Bradshaw; four sons: Lloyd Bradshaw and Larry Bradshaw, both of Norwood, Missouri, Roy Bradshaw of Gilroy, California and Leon Bradshaw of Stockton, California; three daughters: Patsy Ruthann Lunt of Turlock, California, Mary Frances Bradshaw of Spokane, Washington and Alice Bonnie Milhon of Crawfordville, Florida; two sisters: Mary Wildt and Bonnie Bradshaw, both of Modesto, California; eighteen grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.


Funeral Services:
Saturday, January 10th at 2:00 PM in the Norwood Christian Church, Norwood, Missouri.
Visitation:
Friday, January 9th from 7:00 PM -8:00 PM in the funeral home.
