Loena Gertrude Dickison

April 25, 1929 — June 24, 2008

Loena Gertrude Dickison, daughter of the late George Clarence and Ella (Linthicum) Fisher, was born on April 25, 1929 in Cornstalk, West Virginia, and departed this life on June 24, 2008 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 79 years, 1 month, and 29 days of age.
Gertrude grew up and attended school in West Virginia. She was united in marriage to Wes Neuhart in 1948. One son was born to this union.
She was later married to Earl V. Dickison on June 8, 1975 in California.
Gertrude was employed by General Dynamics in San Diego, California and retired as an electronic inspector. She and Earl moved to Missouri in 1977 and made their home near Mtn. Grove. They enjoyed gardening and raising horses. Earl passed away on July 13, 2003.
Gertrude also enjoyed cooking and visiting with her family and friends. At the time of her passing she was living in Cabool, Missouri.
Gertrude was a longtime member of the Order of Eastern Star in Mtn. Grove. She was also a member of the Maness Memorial Baptist Church in Cabool, Missouri where she enjoyed attending services and visiting with her many friends.
She is survived by her son: Joe Neuhart of Mtn. Grove; a step-son: Chris Dickison of Springfield, Missouri; step-grandchildren; step-great-grandchildren; a special friend: Pat Elliott of Springfield, Missouri; and other friends and neighbors who will sadly miss her.


Graveside Services:
Thursday, June 26, 2008 - 10:00 AM in the Hillcrest Cemetery, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
No Formal Visitation:
Friends may call Wednesday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM in the funeral home.
Burial:
Hillcrest Cemetery
Contributions/ In lieu of flowers:
Maness Baptist Church in Cabool, Missouri, o/c the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.
