Lydia Faye Waldrum

April 22, 1923 — March 8, 2008

Lydia Faye Waldrum, daughter of the late Shorty and Josie (Hersh) Pratt, was born on April 22, 1923 in Durant, Oklahoma, and departed this life on March 8, 2008 at her daughter’s residence in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 84 years of age.
Faye grew up in Oklahoma and in 1938 at the age of fifteen, she was married to Euel Lee Waldrum. They moved to Porterville, California where they raised four children. Mr. Waldrum passed away on June 13, 1985.
Faye had lived in Mtn. Grove for the past two years with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a seasonal farm worker and a true homemaker who enjoyed cooking and taking care of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Faye enjoyed gardening, sewing, being outdoors, and listening to country/western music. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Bill Pratt, Elmer Pratt, and Junior Pratt; and by two sisters: Vergie Pratt and Nola Dean Stephenson.
She is survived by two sons: Larry Waldrum of Porterville, California, and Don Waldrum of Ardmore, Oklahoma; two daughters: Linda Byers of Carson City, Nevada, and Nancy Rogers of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; eight grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Lydia Faye Waldrum were held Tuesday, March 11, 2:00 pm in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with James Rogers officiating. Song selections were “Amazing Grace,” “Holes In The Floor Of Heaven,” and “Go Rest High On That Mountain.” Burial will be at a later date in Porterville, California. Arrangements were under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Tuesday, March 11th from 1:00 - 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Funeral Services:
Tuesday, March 11th at 2:00 PM in the chapel.
