Mable Wilehmina Mcintosh

February 27, 1924 — October 1, 2007

Mabel Wilehmina McIntosh, daughter of the late Otto William and Hazel Catherine (Asher) Nulle, was born on February 27, 1924 in Rock River, Wyoming, and departed this life on October 1, 2007 in the Rocky Ridge Manor in Mansfield, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 83 years old.
Mabel moved to Wright County, Missouri at an early age where she attended school in Norwood. She graduated from Norwood High School in the Class of 1944. She was united in marriage to Leonard McIntosh in July of 1942 and nine children were born to this union.
Mabel was employed by the Zenith Company for many years as a production laborer. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, cooking for family, canning, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.
She was a member of the Norwood Betterment Club for several years and enjoyed attending the meetings and visiting with her many friends in the community. Mabel also enjoyed helping cook for the senior citizen meals.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Leonard in 1994; one son: Leonard John McIntosh Jr.; two brothers: Bill Nulle and Bob Nulle; and by two sisters: Marjorie King and Mildred Ford.
She is survived by three sons: Leon McIntosh and his wife, Nola, of Norwood, Missouri, Jerry McIntosh and his wife, Linda, of Climax Springs, Missouri, and Mark McIntosh of Norwood, Missouri; five daughters: Della Storms of Macomb, Missouri, Carolyn Jurewicz and her husband, Tony, of Mansfield, Missouri, Linda Hancock and her husband, Wayne, of Norwood, Missouri, Betty Hart and her husband, Hubert, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and Rose Sparks and her husband, Clint, of Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania; two nieces that she raised: Ruth Webber of Green Forest, Arkansas, and Hazel Raney of Lees Summit, Missouri; Leslie Caldwell of Springfield, Missouri whom she also raised; nineteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friend who will miss her very much.
Funeral services for Mabel McIntosh were held Friday, October 5, 2007, 10:30 AM in the First Baptist Church, Norwood, with Rev. Kenneth McIntosh officiating. Marsha Forrest sang “Amazing Grace,” and “God and Time.” Pallbearers were Job Hancock, Bradley Jarrett, Danny Hancock, Cory McIntosh, Brandon McIntosh, and Chad McIntosh. Honorary pallbearers were Jason McIntosh and Noah Hancock. Burial was in the McIntosh Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
