Marcella Kiser

Winferd “Marcella” Kiser (Sally to her family), daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy (Strunk) Rader, was born on April 22, 1938 on the family farm in Wright County, Missouri and passed away on Monday, July 26, 2010 at her home near Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 72 years, 3 months and 4 days of age.
Marcella grew up in Wright County and was united in marriage to Jimey Kiser on December 24, 1954. One daughter and one son were born to this union. They were married for thirty-seven years. Jim passed away in 1991.
She was employed at Brown Shoe in Mtn. Grove for thirty-one years. At the time of her passing, she was working part-time at Genesis Store in Mtn. Grove.
Marcella was a loving and caring mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandsons and great-granddaughters. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Marcella was known as an accomplished seamstress and quilter.
She was a member of the Pleasant Hill Community Church near Norwood.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother: Erval Rader.
She is survived by her daughter: Carolyn Welch and her husband, Eddie, of Mtn. Grove; her son: Jimmy Kiser and his wife, Melissa, of Blue Eye, Missouri; three brothers and their wives: Jack and Christine Rader of Mtn. Grove, George and Beverly Rader of Pomona, Missouri and Eddie and Phyllis Rader of Mtn. Grove; one sister: Louise West and her husband, Earl, of Boulder, Colorado; her mother-in-law: Veora McClure of Mtn. Grove; two sisters-in-law: Jeannie and Dean Postlewaite of Mtn. Grove and Pattie Sheffer of Independence, Missouri; four grandsons: Eddie Welch, Jayme Kiser, Allen Welch, and Benjamin Kiser; two great-granddaughters: Megan and Haili Welch; Several nieces; nephews; a special friend: Doyne Hicks; and other relatives and friends.

Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Wednesday, July 28, 2010 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM in the chapel.
