Margaret Katherine (Tyrrell) Cooper

September 27, 1922 — February 20, 2013

Margaret Katherine Cooper, daughter of the late Frances and Dora (Scharfenkamp) Tyrrell, was born on September 27, 1922 in Carroll, Iowa, and passed away on February 20, 2013 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, following a short illness. She was 90 years, 4 months and 23 days of age.
Margaret grew up in Iowa and was united in marriage to John William Cooper on June 4, 1949. Six children were born to this union. They moved to the Mtn. Grove, Missouri area in 1975. Mr. Cooper passed away on June 29, 1991.
Margaret was employed by the Sears Company for twenty five years. She enjoyed taking care of her family, having get-togethers and visiting with those around her.
She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Margaret was a longtime member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Mtn. Grove. She enjoyed attending services and visiting with her friends.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Daniel Cooper; three brothers: Ed Tyrrell, Joe Tyrrell, and Frances Tyrrell; and by one sister: Mary Ann Kanne.
She is survived by two sons: Robert Cooper and John Cooper, Jr., and his wife, Mona; three daughters: Mary Heikkila, Donna Cooper, and Susan Robertson and her husband, Mark, all of Mtn. Grove; three brothers: James Tyrrell of Pontiac, Michigan, Tony Tyrrell and his wife, Carol, of Altaville, California, and Wilford Tyrrell and his wife, Betty, of Cocoa Beach, Florida; three sisters: Dorothy Meyers of Tucson, Arizona, Rita Dinges of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Marilyn Heater and her husband, Dan, of Anchorage, Alaska; ten grandchildren: Pat Cooper and his wife, Dawn, Jason Cooper, Bill Heikkila and his wife, Paige, John Cooper III, Mike Cooper and his wife, Candy, Tammy Stevenson, Toni Cessna and her husband, Tony, Nathan Looper and his wife, Jennifer, Jeremy Looper and Michelle, and Stephanie Robertson; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.


Funeral Service: Tuesday,
February 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM
in the Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, in Mtn. Grove.

Visitation: Monday, February
25th from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
in the church.

Burial: Stubbs Cemetery

Memorial Contributions: American Heart Association –
Stubbs Cemetery Fund – or St. Jude’s Children’s
Research Hospital c/o the funeral home.
