Margaret 'Peg' Catherine Middleton

September 23, 1919 — August 28, 2013

Margaret Catherine Middleton, daughter of the late Emery and Myrtle (Ritter) Jackson, was born on September 23, 1919 in Bridgewater, Ohio, and passed away on August 28, 2013 in the Villa of St. Francis Nursing Home in Olathe, Kansas, following a short illness. She was 93 years of age.

Margaret grew up in Ohio and was united in marriage to Albert Alley Middleton on July 9, 1942. Three children were born to this union. They moved to the Mtn. Grove, Missouri area in 1957. Mr. Middleton passed away on December 16, 1995.

Margaret was employed by the Brown Shoe Company in Mtn. Grove for several years. After working at the shoe factory, she and Albert owned several businesses over the years. The first was the Dew Drop Inn Café, just off the Mtn. Grove square. After selling this business, they started a coin-o-matic laundry in town and eventually owned others in Cabool, Missouri and Hartville, Missouri.

Margaret enjoyed riding horses and taking care of her family, having get-togethers, and visiting with those around her. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was a longtime member of the Free Will Baptist Church in Mtn. Grove. She enjoyed attending services and visiting with her many friends.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother: Millard Jackson of Washington, DC.

She is survived by three children: Frank Middleton and his wife, Linda, of Montpelier, Ohio, Connie Morris of Olathe, Kansas, and Sherry Bradshaw and her husband, Leon, of Maysville, Missouri; six grandchildren: Marty Sanders and his wife, Brenna, of Independence, Missouri, LaRhonda Flynn of Kingsville, Missouri, Michael Middleton and his wife, Tiki, of Redway, California, Stephanie Dresser and her husband, Jeff, of Fisher, Indianan, Stacie Johnson and her husband, Shannon, of St. Joseph, Missouri, and Raman Bradshaw and his wife, Noelle, of Kansas City, Missouri; Margaret was also blessed with fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter, and a host of other relatives church family and friends.
