Mark K. Miller

Mark K. Miller, son of Charlie and Ann (Johnston) Miller, was born on September 16, 1963 in Cabool, Missouri and departed this life suddenly on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. He was 46 years, 5 Months, and 9 days of age.
Mark grew up in Texas County and graduated from Cabool High School in 1982. He was united in marriage to Sherry Freeman on May 27, 1983 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. One son was born to this union. Following their marriage, they made their home in Florida for ten years. They later moved to Ozark, Missouri where they lived at the time of his passing.
Mark was employed as a drywall installer and finisher and later he worked as an appliance repairman.
He was an avid outdoorsman, especially when hunting and fishing with his son. He enjoyed working on his farm and spending time with his wife and son. He also enjoyed coaching his son’s Upward Basketball team and being a Boy Scout Troop leader.
He was a loving and caring son, husband, father, brother, son-in-law, uncle and friend who will be truly missed by his loving family and his many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law: Lester Freeman, in 2009; and by his mother-in-law: Alta (Allen) Freeman, in 2005.
Mark is survived by his loving wife of almost twenty-seven years: Sherry Miller, of their home; his son: Josh Miller, of the home; his father: Charlie Miller of Crane, Missouri; his mother: Ann Campbell of Ozark, Missouri; one brother: Frank Miller and his wife, Sherri, of Nixa, Missouri; one sister: Cheryl Altis and her husband, Dave, of Forsyth, Missouri; several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.


Funeral Services:
Monday, March 1st, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.
Visitation:
Sunday, February 28th, 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
Ready For Viewing:
2:00 PM Sunday, Feb. 28th
Burial:
Brushy Knob Cemetery, Douglas County, Missouri.
Donations/Contributions:
First Baptist Church, Ozark, Missouri c/o the funeral home.
