Mary Miller

Mary Ester (Potter) Miller, daughter of the late Willie and Ruth (Preston) Potter, was born May 16, 1942, in Sterling, Colorado, and departed this life suddenly September 20, 2019, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 77 years, 4 months, and 4 days of age.

Mary was united in marriage on July 1, 1960, to Bentley Miller. They made their home in Douglas and Wright Counties. To this union, five children were born.

Mary loved to read, crochet, play cards, and spend time with her family. She enjoyed every minute with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary loved her church family and enjoyed participating in activities with them.

Mary worked at Brown Shoe Company until they closed. She then babysat for many people and loved every minute. She loved each of the children she watched even so much as to call them grandkids.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Ruth Potter, her husband, Bentley Miller, her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Golda Miller, her sisters, Wilma and Shirley, a daughter-in-law, Janet Miller, two grandsons, Johnny Ray Miller and Richard Dawson, one granddaughter-in-law, NaTasha Miller, and two great-grandsons, Jordan Sherman and Blake Sherman

She is survived by her five children, Bobby Miller and his companion, Wendy, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Pamela Volner and her husband, Larry, of Norwood, Missouri, Gary Miller and his wife, Tina, of Hartville, Missouri, Marsha Dawson and her husband, Johnny, and Randy Miller and his wife, Gail, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri, many grandchildren, lots of great-grandchildren, two brothers, Donald Potter and his wife, Virginia, of Springfield, Missouri, and Willie Potter of Mountain Grove, Missouri, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary is greatly loved and will be dearly missed by her family and many others who knew her.
