Maryellen Forbes

Maryellen Forbes, daughter of the late Louis Evan Williams and Beulah (Vineyard) Graham, was born December 26, 1940, in Springfield, Missouri, and passed away October 27, 2022, at her residence in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 81 years, 10 months, and 1 day of age.

Mary grew up in Springfield, Missouri, where she attended school and graduated from Hillcrest High School. She worked in the insurance industry as an insurance adjuster for several years.

She married Garry Forbes on May 6, 1988, in Mansfield, Missouri. They moved to Mountain Grove where they owned and operated the Burger Shack for two years. They had been married for 20 years before Garry’s passing on April, 21, 2009.

Mary enjoyed quilting and made many quilts she shared with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Williams, mother, Beulah Graham, husband, Garry Forbes, and step-son, Ross Forbes.

Mary is survived by her son, Mark Craig and his wife, Margaret, two grandsons, Phillip and Ethan, and her brother, Pete, two step-sons, Randy Forbes and Roger Forbes and their families, and many other Forbes family members who cared for her and will miss her.
