Maxine (Perkins) Bain

August 26, 1931 — December 5, 2016

Maxine Faye (Perkins) Bain, daughter of the late Jackson Robert and Arra Grace (Crisp) Perkins, was born August 26, 1931 in Manes, Missouri, and departed this life December 5, 2016 in Portland, Oregon.
Maxine grew up in Manes, Missouri, and went to school in the Perkins School House in Manes. She married Frank Bain. Seven children were born to this union. They lived in Shiloh, Illinois, for many years and raised their family there.
Maxine worked as a school crossing guard and Playground Supervisor at the Shiloh Elementary School and also worked in childcare. She loved working with plants and she had many Siamese cats and several ugly dog over the years.
Besides her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, her granddaughter, Brandi Nicole Bain, two sisters, Lucille Webb and Estellene Lathram, and by two brothers, Leo and Laverne Perkins.
She is survived by her children, Michael Ray Bain of York, South Carolina, Debra Gaye Bain-Nesbit of Portland, Oregon, Frederick Bruno Bain and Victoria Sue Bain, both of Tucson, Arizona, Timothy Eugene Bain of Biloxi, Mississippi, Rita Kathleen “Kathy” Bain-Stewart of Vancouver, Washington, and Tammy Kaye Bain-Jones of Boise, Idaho, her grandchildren, Andra of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Kat of Medford, Oregon, Ian of New Orleans, Louisiana, Ryan, Conner, and Logan of Boise, Idaho, Paul, Caitlin, Leah, and Dylan of Vancouver, Washington, Jackson of Flagstaff, Arizona, and her great-grandchild, Abigail Brandi Willis, her son-in-law, Dave Jones, her daughters-in-law, Debbie and Kay Bain, one sister, Ruth Perry of Lebanon, Missouri, one brother, Lane Perkins of Portland, Oregon and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members in the Ozarks.
