Melissa "Missy" Woods

Melissa “Missy” Fay Woods, daughter of Tom and Bonnie Woods, was born on April 2, 1967, and departed this life on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at 55 years, 4 months, 1 week and 6 days.

Missy was preceded in death by her father, Tom Woods Sr, her sister, Marsha Glenn, and her sister-in-law, Brenda Woods.

Missy is survived by her mother, Bonnie Woods, her siblings, Tom Woods Jr, Steven and Maureen Woods, Bobby Woods, Lyle Glenn, and Andrea Owens, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Missy was born and raised in Fordland, Missouri, and a member of the 1988 graduating class.

Missy was a beautiful, vibrant soul who enjoyed life to its fullest. Missy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and you could count on her greeting you with a smile and a piece of gum. You could also always count on her being the first person to wish you a Happy Birthday at 6 a.m.

Missy had a huge love for her Fordland Eagles and enjoyed going to all home ballgames.

Missy took great joy in being an aunt to all her nieces and nephews. You could always count on her to be a momma bear to them.

Missy was an inspiration and will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
