Mervin Lee Jameson

August 6, 1932 — March 16, 2013

Mervin Lee Jameson, son of the late Elmer Joseph and Catherine Elise (Gabel) Jameson, was born on August 6, 1932 in Douglas, North Dakota, in Ward County, and departed this life on March 16, 2013 in the Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. He was 80 years, 7 months and 10 days of age.
Mervin grew up and attended school in North Dakota. He served his country in the United States Army and retired from the United States Air Force on May 31, 1975.

Mervin was united in marriage to Cuma Anne Harris on September 30, 1960 in Leavenworth, Kansas. One daughter, Tammy, was born to this union.
Following his retirement from the military, they made their home in Vanzant, Missouri for eighteen years. They then moved to Branson, Missouri, where they lived for sixteen years. For the past two years they called Mtn. Grove their home, still owning their property in Branson.
Mervin was a rancher and beef farmer most all of his life. He was a member of the American Legion and the VFW for many years.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Cuma Anne Jameson on August 8, 2008; an infant brother: James Wilbur Jameson; a brother: Orton R. Jameson; three sisters: Lynne M. Jameson, Wanda E. (Jameson) McGregor, and Violet G. (Jameson) Conners; an infant niece: Gail Karen Jameson; and by a nephew/god-son: Mervin Ralph Hedlin.
He is survived by his loving daughter: Tammy Jameson of Mtn. Grove; two brothers: James Henry Jameson of McIntosh, South Dakota, and David Joseph Jameson of North Dakota; three sisters: Evelyn (Jameson) Larson of Phoenix, Arizona, Jeannette (Jameson) Larson of Twin Falls, Idaho, and Lela Eloise (Jameson) Utter of Emmett, Idaho; brother-in-law and sister-in-law: Norman and Joan Hoffarth of Vanzant, Missouri; a sister-in-law: Jutta Harris of Mtn. Grove; several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.

in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

– 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
