Norman George Jarrett, son of the late Jesse Howard and Olive Lavern Jarrett, was born December 26, 1940, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and passed away at his home in Theodosia, Missouri, May 21, 2020. He was 79 years, 4 months, and 26 days of age.

Norman grew up in Mountain Grove and went to Mountain Grove School. He married Sandy Elliott on May 23, 1963. One son was born to this union.

Norman was baptized at Pleasant Hill Church. He worked for thirty years for the City of Mountain Grove and on the Mountain Grove Fire Department where he served as Fire Chief. Norman was a respected mentor to many young men on the fire departments.

Norman was a hardworking man who would do anything for anybody. He enjoyed visiting with people and made many friends wherever he was. He was very proud to serve the communities where he lived but most of all, he was extremely proud of his family.
