Paul Allen O'Guin

October 9, 1962 — March 20, 2011

Paul Allen O’Guin, son of the late Rev. William Floyd O’Guin and Judy Marie (Brown) O’Guin, was born on October 9, 1962 in St. Louis, Missouri and passed away on March 20, 2011 at his home south of Norwood, Missouri. He was 48 years, 5 months and 11 days of age.
Paul moved with his family to the Ozarks in 1975. He attended Mtn. Grove School for three years and then the family moved to Norwood in 1978. He attended Norwood High School and graduated in 1982.
He was united in marriage to Sheila Rae Breshears on October 27, 1985. Three sons were born to this union: Kaleb Shane in 1986, Trenton Allen in 1989, and Kurtis Ray in 1991.
Paul enjoyed playing baseball and had many fond memories of his Little League years when his dad was the coach. He was also a pitcher for the Norwood High School Pirates Baseball team. He enjoyed playing softball with his sister Rose and many of his relatives for several years. He liked watching sports on television with his father and his sons. He was an avid Oakland Raiders Football fan and a St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan.
Paul enjoyed spending time outdoors, hunting and fishing with his dad, sons, and many friends. He also liked to barbeque and camp on the creek with his companion of several years, Vicky Collins.
Paul worked several factory jobs over the years and made many friends wherever he went.
At the time of his passing, Paul was attending the Pleasant Hill Community Church near Norwood.
He was preceded in death by his father: Rev. Floyd O’Guin; his paternal grandparents, Walter and Neoma O’Guin; and by his maternal grandparents: Louis and Willie Franke.
He is survived by his mother: Judy O’Guin of Norwood, Missouri; three sisters: Paula Allsman and Dwayne, of Norwood, Missouri, Patricia O’Guin of Norwood, Missouri and Rose Woods of Mtn. Grove; three sons: Kaleb O’Guin and Jessica, and children, Karson and Reiley of Inola, Oklahoma, Trenton O’Guin and Rebecca, of Norwood, Missouri and children, Adam and Kaylee, and Kurtis O’Guin and Olivia Fox, of Springfield, Missouri; his companion, Vicky Collins and Amy, Jess, and granddaughter, Haylee, of the home; three nieces; six nephews; three great-nieces; two great-nephews; and many other relatives, friends, loved ones, neighbors, and church family.
Paul will live in our hearts forever.
