Obituaty: Pauline E. Thompson, daughter of the late Edward and Nola (Freeman) Pendergrass, was born on October 17, 1937 in Trail, Missouri, and departed this life on September 21, 2014, at her residence in East Peoria, Illinois. She was 76 years of age.

Pauline graduated from Dora Community High School, in Dora, Missouri. After graduation she excelled in a career of arts, crafts, and pottery. She was united in marriage to J.D. Jay Thompson on July 26, 1955 in Hernando, Mississippi. Two children were born to this union.

Pauline was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and 12 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years: Jay Thompson of the home; her children: Darrah Jean Strubhar of Pekin, Illinois and Jamie D. Thompson, Jr. of East Peoria, Illinois; three grandchildren: Craig Strubhar and his wife, Jennifer, Aimee Shanine and her husband, Caeser, and Ashley Strubhar; two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Beckett; five brothers and four sisters; and her favorite brother-in-law: Richard Thompson and his wife, Dorothy.

The family wishes to express their appreciation to Paulines special niece, Traci Lee and the outstanding staff of Unity Point Hospice in Peoria.

Memorial contributions may be made to her favorite charity, the Wounded Warrior Program.
