Payzlie Sophia Faith Noble (Infant)

July 2, 2012 — July 17, 2012

Payzlie Sophia Faith Noble, infant daughter of Justin and Danika (Jarrett) Noble, made her debut on July 2, 2012 at 2:24 pm in the Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. Payzlie was taken to Heaven on July 17, 2012 at the tender age of 15 days.
Payzlie had to be born at Barnes and immediately transported to St. Louis Children’s Hospital due to complications that she was diagnosed with at five months gestation.
Payzlie was diagnosed with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), which means her diaphragm did not close during her momma’s pregnancy. Payzlie’s CDH consisted of her stomach, spleen, part of her liver and small bowel, moving up into her chest cavity. This moved her heart to the right side of her chest, causing three major heart defects and her left lung to not fully develop.
Specialist said babies like Payzlie are usually born at 28 – 32 weeks gestation, only weighing 3 to 4 pounds. That’s where Payzlie started proving them wrong. She was born at 39 weeks, weighing 8 pounds and 13 ounces.
Her life started off difficult and she had to fight. She defied all odds. Doctors said she wouldn’t make it through her first day but God and Payzlie had other plans. Payzlie had her first heart surgery which was to be the first of three at exactly one week of age and her abdominal surgery the following day, which earned her 24 stitches. Through this Payzlie impressed not only her family but also the entire medical team with her strength.
Her story was able to reach a lot of people and restored their faith. She squeezed her parent's and her sister’s fingers, looked at them with her big blue eyes, moved her feet and legs when tickled, made priceless facial expressions and tried to lift her arms.
She was sent here to bless us and serve her purpose on earth. When she succeeded, God called her to our Heavenly Home, while she was being held in her parent's loving arms with her sisters and Aunt Cheryl Barbe by her side.
Payzlie entered this world loved tremendously by her parents: Justin and Danika (Jarrett) Noble, her sisters: Jurnee, Justyse, and Alexis. Other family members that will also share Payzlie’s story of strength include her paternal grandparents: O.H. and Linda Noble of Mtn. Grove; maternal grandparents: Aaron and Robyn Jarrett of Norwood; paternal great-grandmother: Shirley Emery of Mtn. Grove; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who may have never met her but will forever love and miss her.
Payzlie is being held in Heaven by several loved ones, including her maternal great-grandparents: Gene and Dolly Jarrett and Chester and Helen Freeman along with her paternal great-grandpa, Fred Emery.
During Payzlie’s short, but treasured 15 days on earth, she touched more hearts than most people will do in 100 years. She taught her parents, sisters, medical team and many others about strength, love, faith, and God.

Thank you, Payzlie for the gift of you.
You gave us hope by just being you!
After the hurting and healing are through,
We’ll treasure most of all, the gift of you.

MY DEAREST PAYZLIE

We were so excited when the test said yes,
You were baby girl #4 and we felt blessed.
Your sisters were stoked and helped name you,
I chose your first name, Daddy gave you middle name #2.
We started shopping and planning, then we got the news,
You were special, one in twenty-five hundred and God chose you.
We accepted it and felt you deserved a chance,
All the doctors did their best, now in Heaven is where you dance.
Your big blue eyes captured the world,
The medical team was impressed, you were one tough girl.
A head full of hair that held a bow,
Ten long fingers and ten long toes.
You moved your toes when Daddy would tickle you.
You opened your eyes and tried to follow me around the room.
Your sisters loved you very much and talked to you each day,
We prayed to God to heal you but he seen another way.
You’re the strongest person we’ve ever known,
Now God is rocking you on his Heavenly throne.
When he seen your tired face,
It was then He decided you won life’s race.
From our world you had to part,
But Heaven isn’t that far away because you’re always in our hearts.
God only lends his children for a time unknown,
We never know when He’s going to call our babies home.
We’re not angry for the time we don’t get with you,
We’ll cherish every second that you pulled through.
Baby, there’s a special man down here,
Could you lay a whisper in his daughter’s ear?
I’m sure she’s loving on you and holding you tight,
Until we hold you again, we’ll talk to you day and night.
When it rains it’s a kiss from you,
When the sun shines, it’s a great big hug.
Just know we did all we could do,
And on you we never gave up.
We cried holding you close when it was your time to leave,
But through your strength and with your love, we shall find peace.
You restored so many people’s faith so it seems,
Now to you our mighty fighter, we say…. Sweet Dreams.
All my love,
Momma
