Phyllis M. Kennedy

Phyllis Marie (Peck) Kennedy, daughter of the late Gordon and Ruby (Hodgkins) Peck, was born November 6, 1949, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Sparta, Wisconsin, and departed this life August 22, 2019, at her home in Macomb, Missouri. She was 69 years, 9 months, and 16 days of age.

Phyllis graduated from Sparta High School in Wisconsin. She married Wade Cox. Four children were born to this union: Lori, Chad, Staci, and Phyllis. She later married Terry Kennedy on December 22, 1995. She and Terry moved to Missouri after living in several places in Wisconsin and Illinois. Terry passed away on April 27, 2017 and her daughter, Lori, moved close to help her.

Phyllis worked as a waitress at several places through the years. She also worked at Fort McCoy in Sparta, Wisconsin, and for the prison in Fordland, Missouri. In her spare time, she enjoyed her horses and dogs.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Terry, one brother, Terry Peck, and one sister, Linda Higbee.

She is survived by one son, Chad Cox of New Lisbon, Wisconsin, three daughters, Staci Evans (Earl) of Tomah, Wisconsin, Phyllis Bunes of Tomah, Wisconsin, and Lori Crouch of Macomb, Missouri, eleven grandchildren, Joe Crouch (Shannon), Jerrad Crouch, Seth Crouch (Kennedy Sommerfield), Shane Crouch (Sarah), Karena Cox (Josh Gilbertson), Kalib Skinner, Jessie Skinner (Dani), Dylan and Alyssa Vanderhoof, Brian Bunes, and Alexxis Stainbrook, fourteen great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who will miss her dearly.
