Randall E. Childress

Randall Edwin Randy Childress, son of the late Clifford Childress and Alice (Moody) Willeford, was born on May 5, 1956 in Springfield, Missouri, and departed this life on June 3, 2015 at his home in Strafford, Missouri. He was 59 years and 29 days of age.


Randy graduated from Central High School. He worked in the shipping and receiving department for Hiland Dairy and retired after 36 years of service. In his spare time, Randy enjoyed hunting, fishing, and baseball. He was united in marriage to Kaylene (Willhite) Cardwell on April 26, 2013 and they made their home in Strafford, Missouri.

Randy is survived by his wife: Kaylene Cardwell-Childress; stepmother: Carolyn Childress; one son: Shane Childress; three brothers: Terry Childress, Doug Childress and wife, Jamie, and Greg Childress and wife, Becky; one sister: Rhonda Long and husband, Steve; two step-sons: Derek Cardwell and wife, Kristina and Delaine Cardwell and wife, Megan; three granddaughters: Alissa, Elodie, and Madison; three grandsons: Wyatt, Landon, and Bentley; father and mother-in-law: Dearl and Norma Willhite; and numerous other family and friends. Randy will be deeply missed by all.


Visitation: Sunday, June 7, 2015 from 2 - 4 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Funeral Service: Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Burial: New Home Cemetery, north of Mtn. Grove.
