Randy Ellis Wood

Randy Ellis Wood, son of Virgil Ellis and Bertha Mae (Hammons) Wood, was born on May 1, 1952 in Prairie City, Oregon, and passed away on January 26, 2012 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri. He was 59 years, 8 months, and 25 days of age.
Randy grew up in Mtn. Grove, Missouri and attended Mtn. Grove Schools.
He followed in his father’s footsteps and worked in the trucking industry for several years. He enjoyed the over-the-road driving and getting to see various places and to visit with many people.
Randy also enjoyed being outdoors and hunting.
He was preceded in death by his father: Virgil Ellis Wood in 1998; one son: Kelly Dean Wood in 2011; his paternal grandparents: Harvey and Effie Wood; and by his maternal grandparents: Kelse and Frone Hammons.
He is survived by his mother: Bertha Mae Wood of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; one brother: Ron Wood and his wife, Beverly, of Republic, Missouri; his seven children: Misty, Chalmer, Randy, Kennie Mae, Brandon, Emma, and Randi K; and many other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.
