Reggie Curtis

July 31, 1952 — July 12, 2020

Reginald Dean Curtis, son of the late Otho Curtis and Beulah (Owens) Curtis, was born July 31, 1952, in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life on July 12, 2020, at his home following a short illness.

Reggie grew up and attended school in Mountain Grove and graduated with the class of 1970. After graduation, he moved to Idaho and worked in the hayfields for a short time. He returned back home and began working for Peterson Gravel and Ready Mix. He worked there for over 30 years.

Reggie met and married the love of his life, Violet Thompson, in 1988. Two sons were born to this union, Coleman and Dylan. Reggie greatly enjoyed being outdoors spending time with his wife, boys, and grandsons. He always made time to go fishing and then “fry ‘em up.”

Reggie was saved and baptized at a young age and had recently rededicated his life to the Lord.

Reggie was preceded in death by his father, Otho Curtis, three sisters, Marilyn Riggs, Joyce Nunn, and Lila Curtis, one brother, Gene Curtis, one brother-in-law, Ed Kubisiack, and one nephew, Ronald Christopher Curtis.

He is survived by his wife, Vi Curtis, of the home, his son Coleman Curtis and wife, Charlene, and their children Matthew, Wyatt, Kelby, and Coy, his son Dylan Curtis and wife, Erin, his mother, Beulah Curtis, two sisters, Nelda Kubisiack and Joan Harker and husband, Paul, one brother-in-law, Brett Nunn, many other relatives, neighbors, and friends who will sadly miss him.

The family would like to thank Three Rivers Hospice for their kindness, compassion, and devotion.
