Robert "Bob" Westerman

Robert Charles Westerman Jr., son of Robert Charles Westerman Sr. and Elizabeth Moser Westerman, was born December 7, 1943, in Huntington, West Virginia, and departed this life on April 7, 2022, at Glendale Gardens Nursing and Rehab in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 78 years and 11 months.

Bob was united in marriage to Shirley Elaine Humphrey on August 10, 1969. She preceded him in death on February 9, 2017. He was also preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Judy and Kathy, and sister-in-law, Joyce Humphrey.

He is survived by a sister-in-law, Mary Beth Arthur and husband, David, brother-in-law, Rick Humphrey

Bob had worked at Gates Rubber for several years and then drove a truck until retiring. Shirley’s parents purchased land on Highway K near Seymour and in 1982, Bob and Shirley moved to Seymour. He had attended Calvary Independent Baptist Church in Ava.

In his spare time, he enjoyed tinkering and caring for Shirley, he worshipped her, and he never got over her death.
