Robert G. Kile

February 10, 1926 — September 25, 2007

Robert “Bob” G. Kile, son of the late Frank Jerome and Myrtle Fern (Erb) Kile, was born on February 10, 1926 in Goshen, Indiana, and departed this life on September, 25, 2007 in the Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri, following a long illness. He was 81 years, 7 months, and 15 days of age.
Bob grew up in Goshen, Indiana and attended Concord High School in Dunlap, Indiana. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Volkmann on February 13, 1949 in Elkhart, Indiana. Seven children were born to this union. They had made their home in Missouri for the past several years.
Bob enjoyed reading, family history, watching sports on television, and telling stories. He also liked being outdoors, especially when tending to farm duties and visiting with his friends and neighbors.
Bob was a member of the Faith Community Church of the Nazarene in Mtn. Grove, Missouri where he enjoyed attending services as long as his health permitted.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son: Gerald Kile; one brother: Marion Kile; and by an infant sister.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-eight years: Elizabeth “Betty” Kile of Cabool, Missouri; two sons: Bruce Kile and his wife, Yvonne, of Fairbanks, Alaska, and Brian Kile and his wife, Marlene, of Norwood, Missouri; four daughters: Elaine Larson and her husband, Dennis, of Boise, Idaho, Roberta Urena and her husband, Ramon, of Anchorage, Alaska, Sue Kile of Holman, Wisconsin, and Mary Wilson and her husband, Bobby Sr., of Redlands, California; one brother: Phil Kile Sr. of Fair Hope, Alabama; one sister: Mary Carr of Elkhart, Indiana; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, neighbors and friends, who will miss him very much.

Thursday, Septmeber 27, 2007 1:00- 2:00 PM before service at the church.

Prairie Street Cemetery - Elkhart, Indiana
