Robin Alizabeth Tooley

Robin Alizabeth (Shaffer) Tooley, daughter of the late Lee Hamilton and Marcelle Ruth (Ocamb) Shaffer, was born June 1, 1953, in Kansas City, Kansas, and passed away March 30, 2020, at Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Missouri. She was 66 years, 9 months, and 29 days of age.

Robin was born and raised in Kansas City, Kansas, and moved to Missouri in 1987 with her sons, Larry, William, and Travis. She married James Henry Tooley on August 10, 1988, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. With this union she gained three more sons, Harry, James, and Steven. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Robin was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved watching them play. She loved going to Thrift Stores and finding “hidden treasures”. She also enjoyed taking care of her many house plants and her flower gardens. Robin loved going to church and attended Faith Community Church of the Nazarene whenever she could.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Tooley, two sons, Larry Dixson and Harry Tooley, one brother, Gary Ocamb, and one grandson, Kyle Tooley.

She is survived by four sons, William Dixson of Trenton, Missouri, Travis Dixson of Kansas City, Missouri, James Tooley and his wife, Tonya, and Steven Tooley, all of Mountain Grove, three brothers, William Shaffer of Leavenworth, Kansas, Lee Shaffer, and Scott Shaffer and his wife, Beverly, all of Kansas City, Missouri, one sister, Marilyn Wagoner and her husband, Mike, of Boulder, Colorado, nineteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
