Ronald Franklin Neal

Ronald F. Neal, son of Omer and Phyllis Neal, was born on November 16, 1945 in Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, and passed away on December 31, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 68 years.
Ron grew up on a farm in Manes, Missouri, where he spent most of his life. In January 2007, he moved to Springfield, Missouri, to live closer to family following the death of his mother.
Ron was a kind, gentle soul who loved to spend time with family, listen to gospel music, watch the St. Louis Cardinals, and play with his cousin Anita’s two dogs, Sid and Annie. He lived a life that exemplified unconditional love and forgiveness.
Ron was a member of Manes Baptist Church, Manes, Missouri, and regularly attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church while living in Springfield. He especially enjoyed helping his aunt and uncle, Elanda and Darrel McCoy, with a nursing home ministry for his Sunday School class.
Ron’s parents preceded him in death. He is survived by his aunt and uncle, Elanda and Darrel McCoy, Springfield, Missouri; his guardian and cousin, Anita Kissinger and her husband Rod, Springfield, Missouri; cousin, Michael McCoy, Kansas City, Missouri; cousin Don Gray and his wife Evelyn, Manes, Missouri; cousin Larry Gray and his wife Bonnie, Springfield, Missouri; cousin-in-law, Carol Hopkins, Independence, Missouri; cousin, Carol Lou Cox and her husband Fred, Raytown, Missouri; cousin, Billy Walker and his wife Elizabeth, Lee’s Summit, Missouri; cousin, Richard Cline; and, many other relatives and friends.
It is the love of love, the love that swallows up all else; a grateful love, a love of nature, of people, of animals; a love engendering gentleness and goodness that move me; and I saw that in you.
