Rubie A. Clark

Rubie A. Clark, daughter of the late Osa and Lillie L. Smith, was born on September 29, 1921 in Brixey, Missouri and passed away on April 24, 2011 in the Northcare Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 89 years, 6 months and 25 days of age.
Rubie grew up and attended school in the Brixey area. She was united in marriage to Glynn Clark on July 5, 1941 in Caulfield, Missouri. Three children were born to this union. They raised their children in Wichita, Kansas. Glynn passed away on November 14, 1992.
Rubie enjoyed reading in her spare time. She worked as a dietitian for a nursing home for several years until the illnesses of her mother, brother and husband. Rubie was always putting others around her first in all situations.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Larry Clark in 1969; a brother: Donald Smith; and by a granddaughter: Regina “Gina” Ayala in 2000.
She is survived by a son: Gary Clark and his wife, Bonnie, of Wichita, Kansas; one daughter: Glenna A. Ayala and her husband, Israel, of Kansas City, Missouri; two grandchildren: Jennifer Barulich and her husband, Craig, of Kansas City, Missouri and Cameron Clark of Wichita, Kansas; one great-grandchild: Whitney Barulich of Kansas City, Missouri; and other relatives and friends who will miss her very much.
