Ruth Ann Maki

Ruth Ann Maki, daughter of the late Anthony Patrick and Ruth Amanda (Johnson) Borrie, was born on February 22, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan, and passed away suddenly on March 5, 2007 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Missouri, at 64 years and 11 days of age.
Ruth grew up and attended school in Michigan and was united in marriage to Harvey Maki on June 30, 1962 in Ramsey, Michigan. Two children were born to this union. Ruth and Harvey made their home near Norwood, Missouri for the past seven years. She enjoyed taking care of her family and home. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her. Ruth enjoyed being outdoors, gardening and tending to her flowers. She also enjoyed flower arranging and visiting with her family, neighbors, and friends. She was a long time member of the Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband of forty-two years: Harvey Maki of their home; one son: Clifford Maki and his wife, Jennifer, of Denver, Colorado; one daughter: Faye Witcher of Craig, Colorado; two brothers: Ward Richardson of Sexsmith, Canada and Don Gunterman of Rockford, Illinois; one sister: Marie Hodges of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren: Skylar, Christopher, Michelle, Nichole, and Michael; nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
