Scott Edward Carty, son of Paula (Carty) Adams and Jerry Woods, was born February 10, 1972, in Houston, Missouri, and passed away unexpectedly May 24, 2023, at his home in Norwood, Missouri. He was 51 years, 3 months, and 14 days of age.


Scott grew up in Mountain Grove and graduated from Mountain Grove High School with the Class of 1990. He was united in marriage to Sheila Crisp on November 6, 2015, at Almost Home Church in Mountain Grove.


He was a carpenter and enjoyed doing carpentry work when he was able to work. Scott liked social media and loved making contact with friends and family on Facebook. He loved his family, especially his grandkids. They could do no wrong in his eyes.


Scott made a big change in his life by accepting Christ as his Lord and Savior, and he would tell everyone he met what the Lord had done in his life. At the time of his passing, Scott was attending First Day Church in Cabool, Missouri. He loved going to church and his church family was very special to him.


He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Paul and Willie Carty his paternal grandmother, Georgia Woods, and his mother-in-law, Viola Crisp.


Scott is survived by his loving wife, Sheila Carty, his mother and step-father, Paula and Eddy Adams, his father, Jerry Woods, his father-in-law, Johnny Crisp, his step-son, Cody Kenega and his wife, Sierra, two grandchildren, Harper and Sage, his canine companion and best friend, Rosie, other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.
