Sharon (Bennett) O'Harra

Sharon Kay (Bennett) O’Harra, daughter of the late Roy and Goldie (Orth) Bennett, was born March 30, 1946, in Cabool, Missouri, and passed away September 24, 2022, at her home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, at 76 years of age.

Sharon married the love of her life and her soul mate, Jim O’Harra, affectionately known as Pop, on June 18, 2021, in Mountain Grove.

Sharon “Mamma” loved to fish for crappie and white bass, and help her daughter, Tena, make flower arrangements. She enjoyed flea markets, yard sales, and finding treasures at the lake when the water was low. She also loved playing tricks on people. Mamma was an amazing cook. She could make something out of nothing. She made the best cinnamon rolls and homemade light bread. There was always some leftover bread dough that she would fry up fresh for her family to enjoy. She passed those skills on to most of her children (Sorry Patty). Her children were little sponges, soaking up everything she taught.

She had the most beautiful blue eyes and big smile and the heart of an angel, full of grace, and beauty. She had kindness and wisdom and shared with those she loved. She will be loved and missed by many friends and family. May her memory live on with us until we meet her again in Heaven. She was so excited to meet her Jesus. Her smile and eyes said it all.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Goldie Bennett, two sisters, Lois and Mina, four brothers, Richard, Gene, Doug, and Joe, and one granddaughter, LaDonna.

She is survived by her husband, Jim, of their home, one sister, Peggy Wimberly of Cabool, Missouri, long time sister-in-law, Janet Bennett, her children, John Reed of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Loretta and Doug Schouten of Green Ridge, Missouri, Tena and Jim McGearey, Patricia and Robert Jones, Tammy and Brad Mabe all of Mountain Grove, Missouri, her newly added children, Jamie, Danny, and Shannon whom she loved as her own, grandchildren, Sarah (Joe), Jessica (Arron), Michael, Sheena (Chris), Sherri (Greg), Shasta (Kevin), Kimberly (Chaney), Richard (Amber), Shawnda, Krecia, Chelsea (Randy), plus more than thirty great-grandchildren.
