Stuart Keith Horst

Stuart Keith Horst, son of George and Lois (Burkhart) Horst, was born on June 2, 1972 in Orrville, Ohio, and departed this life on March 28, 2015 at his home in Norwood, Missouri. He was 42 years, 9 months, and 26 days of age.
Stuart grew up in Orrville, Ohio. In 1988, his family moved to Othello, Washington. He was united in marriage to Virginia Fast, on February 20, 1994, in Basin City, Washington. Four children were born to this union.
Stuart worked in construction and formed his own construction company. In August of 2009, he and his family moved to the Norwood, Missouri community. He greatly enjoyed meeting new people while working at Shetlers Discount Grocery.
Stuart bravely battled his illness for 3 years, until God called him home. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Stuart is survived by his loving wife: Virginia Horst of the home; two daughters: Melissa and Meghan; two sons: Brenton and Brandon all of the home; his parents: George and Lois Horst of Othello, Washington; five brothers: Stan (and Annette) Horst, Sheldon Horst, Steve (and Kim) Horst, all of Othello, Washington, Shawn (and Jenny) Horst, of Bridgewater, Maine and Scott (and Letha) Horst of Cherkassy, Ukraine; three sisters: Sharon (and Gust) Mastre, of Worland, Wyoming, Sharla Horst of Haysville, Ohio, and Sarah (and Gerald) Adkins of Carpenter, South Dakota; and parents-in-law: Stan and Phyllis Fast of Othello, Washington; and a host of other family and friends.
Stuart was preceded in death by his grandparents; one nephew: Carson Horst; and one sister-in-law: Grace Fast.


Visitation: Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.
