Tammy Jo Claxton

Tammy Jo (Miller) Claxton, daughter of Charles Edmond Miller and Vonna Mae (Blankenship) Miller, was born February 2, 1963, in Marshfield, Missouri, and departed this life on October 12, 2022, at Cox South Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of 59 years, 8 months, and 12 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie and Mae Miller, and brother, Charles E. Miller, III.

Tammy is survived by her husband, David Claxton; sons, David Braun Jr. and wife, Kim, of Fordland, Missouri, and Michael Justin Braun of Seymour, Missouri; grandchildren, Haley Jo, Evan, Rylee, Aliyah, Meryck, and Mikaizley Jo Braun; sister, Donna Gilbert and husband, Tony, of Billings, Missouri; brothers, Roger Miller of Seymour, and James Miller of Marshfield; step-mother, Carol Jean Mason-Miller (Big Bird); several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Tammy was born in Marshfield and attended Marshfield Schools. She was a Certified Nurses Aid and owned and operated a dog kennel.

In her spare time, she loved her dogs, arrowhead hunting and was a very free-spirited soul.

Tammy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and a caring neighbor and friend. Although we are in shock at her sudden and unexpected passing, we have many special memories that we will cherish forever.
