Teresa June Ellis

Teresa June (Murin) Ellis, daughter of Edith (Lemons) Murin and the late Harvey Murin, was born June 12, 1959, in Cabool, Missouri, and passed away June 9, 2022, at her residence in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 62 years, 11 months, and 28 days of age.

Teresa grew up in Douglas County and attended Mountain Grove schools, graduating with the class of 1978. She married Keith Holt and three children, Amy, Jonathan, and Bethany, were born to this union. She later married Colby Ellis and gained a step daughter, Sharrona.

She had attended Glendale Baptist Church. Teresa loved the outdoors and enjoyed watching the birds and sunsets. She also enjoyed drinking unsweet tea and eating bananas. She had two dogs, Brown Sugar and Biscuit, which were very special to her.

Teresa loved her family and enjoyed getting together with her children and grandchildren. She was the glue and backbone that held the family together.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harvey Murin, her daughter, Bethany Holt, grandson, Bryson Holt, an infant brother, and brother-in-law, Steven Ellis.

Teresa is survived by her husband, Colby Ellis of the home in Mountain Grove, her son, Jonathan Holt and wife, Shanda, of Norwood, Missouri, her daughter, Amy Holt, of Mountain Grove, her mother, Edith Murin, of Mountain Grove, step daughter, Sharrona Larue of Norwood, Missouri, ten grandchildren, Cassidy (David), Keaton (Maddison), Kyerria, Devin, Preston, Dillon, Kyson, Tori, Jacob, and Winter, three great-grandchildren, Jayce, Stetson, Jordan, and two more on the way, one sister-in-law, Sara Ellis of Branson, Missouri, and other family and friends who will miss her very much.
