Travis Rockford Tasker

Travis Rockford Tasker, son of Rocky Tasker and Diana (Anders) Lawson, was born on May 7, 1976 in Sidney, Montana, and departed this life on November 3, 2007 at his residence near Mtn. Grove, Missouri. He was 31 years, 5 months, and 27 days of age.
Travis moved to Missouri in 1982 to live in the Mtn. Grove and Manes areas, and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1994. He was united in marriage to Terina Turner on June 22, 1994 in Hartville, Missouri. Two daughters were born to this union.
Travis enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hunting, horse back riding, and snow skiing. He also liked to ride motorcycles and four-wheelers.
Travis served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on June 30, 1997. He was employed as a welder for several years.
He was a loving son, husband, father, brother, and friend. He greatly enjoyed the time he spent with his daughters, his family and visiting with his friends. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Travis was saved as a young child and rededicated his life while serving in the military. He is now home with his Lord and Savior.
He was preceded in death by a stillborn son: Jordan Deon Tasker; and by his maternal grandfather: Ed Anders.
He is survived by his wife: Terina Tasker of their home; his two daughters: Sierra Rayne Tasker and Alexia Breanne Tasker, both of the home; his father: Rocky Tasker and his wife, Bunny, of Pendleton, Indiana; his mother: Diana (Anders) Lawson of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; step-father: Frank Lawson, Jr. of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; three brothers: Daniel Lawson, Jesse Lawson, and Ian Mings, all of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, November 8, 2007, in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Don Ratterree officiating. Song selections were “In These Last Days,” “My Old Friend” and “Like A Bird I Sing.” Pallbearers were Terry Mings, Bobby Butttram, Steven Coble, Jared Mings, Brad Bettis, and Jeremy Turner. Full military honors were provided at the cemetery by the American Legion Post 30 with Jared Moore serving as bugler. Burial was in the Manes Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri

Visitation:
Thursday, Nov. 8, 2007 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM in the funeral home.
Burial:
Manes Cemetery, Manes, Missouri

American Legion Post 30
