Ula Maxine Hutsell

July 20, 1930 — July 8, 2019

Ula Maxine (Wilson) Hutsell, daughter of the late Clyde Ervin and Ola Mae (Tate) Wilson, was born July 20, 1930, in Dawson, Missouri, and passed away July 8, 2019, at Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was 88 years, 11 months, and 19 days of age.

Ula married William Frances “Bill” Hutsell on March 24, 1948, in Springfield, Missouri. Five children were born to this union.

Ula was saved and baptized at a young age. She loved being a part of her church and spending time with her church family. After her health kept her from attending, she continued to read her Bible faithfully and enjoyed devotional books.

Ula retired after several years with the Brown Shoe Company. In her spare time she enjoyed going to horse shows and gardening with her husband. She also enjoyed trying new recipes and canning. One of her favorite pastimes was to play cards and games with her family and spend time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. After her husband passed away, she enjoyed making new friends at the Senior Center where she also learned to dance and play pool.

Besides her parents, Ula was preceded in death by Bill, her husband of 59 years, on September 20, 2007, one son, Stephen Dwayne Hutsell, and two daughters, Diane Kay Hutsell and Terrie Hutsell.

She is survived by one son, Rick Hutsell and his wife, Janet, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one daughter, Regina Moore and her husband, Ronnie, of Cabool, Missouri, one brother, Dale Keith Wilson and his wife, Frances, of Navota, California, two sisters, Zelpha Boykin of Dawson, Missouri, and Zelda Brasier and her husband, Bill, of Springfield, Missouri, sixteen grandchildren, Tina Stranghoner, Bob and Melinda Adamson, Michael and Renee’ Jestice, David and Nicole Hancock, Mike and SaDonna Williams, Anthony and Renee Kelly, Justin Hutsell, Timothy Kelly, Stephen Kelly, Eric and Eladia Moore, thirty-two great-grandchildren, ten great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends who will dearly miss her.
