Victoria 'Vicki' Lanell Myers

June 15, 1956 — February 14, 2008

Victoria “Vicki” LaNell Myers, daughter of Calvin H. and Phyllis M. (McGowan) Shannon, was born on June 15, 1956 in Independence, Missouri and departed this life on February 14, 2008 at her residence in Rogersville, Missouri. She was 51 years, 7 months and 29 days of age.
Vicki grew up in the Butler, Missouri area and graduated from Butler High School in 1974. She was united in marriage to Chipper Myers on June 15, 1988 in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they raised one son. They had made their home in the Rogersville area for the past seven years.
Their lifelong dream was to operate a semi-truck, so they could spend more time together.
Vicki was employed by Wal-Mart Super Center on south Campbell in Springfield, Missouri for the past six years. She enjoyed her work and made many friends over the years.
She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and collecting antiques and elephants. She also liked all kinds of animals, and she enjoyed camping and spending time with her family, especially her son.
Vicki was a loving and caring daughter, wife, daughter-in-law, mother, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her husband: Chipper “Chip” Myers of their home; her son: Shane Rabourn and his wife, Lori, of Rogersville, Missouri; her father and mother: Calvin and Phyllis Shannon of Fordland, Missouri; two brothers: Richard "Ricky" Shannon and his wife, Mary, and Robert “Bob” Shannon, all of Rogersville, Missouri; father and mother-in-law: Bud and Joyce Myers of Butler, Missouri; one brother-in-law: Binky Myers and his wife, Lisa, of Butler, Missouri; sister-in-law: Kathy Myers of Harrisonville, Missouri; one niece: Desiree’ Morris of Butler, Missouri; four nephews: Matt Shannon of Amsterdam, Missouri, Nathan Jesse, United States Navy, Tristan Momeni and Kyle Kilian, both of Independence, Missouri; numerous aunts; uncles; cousins; and a host of other relatives, co-workers, and friends.
Funeral services for Vicki Myers were held Monday, February 18, 2008, 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Ronald Turner officiating. Ronald and Wilma Turner sang “Amazing Grace,” and “Take My Hand, Precious Lord.” “Wind Beneath My Wings Was also played. Pallbearers were Howard Shannon, Robert “Bob” Shannon, Richard “Ricky” Shannon, Binky Shannon, Randy Reed, and Larry Shannon. Burial was in the Hillcrest Cemetery under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.

Monday, February 18, 2008 2:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
Visitation:
Monday, February 18, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM in the chapel before the service.
Burial:
Hillcrest Cemetery
