Vina Ellen (Bell) Buckbee

August 3, 1923 — May 23, 2011

Vina Ellen Buckbee, daughter of the late Elza and Julie (Bradshaw) Bell, was born on August 3, 1923 in Bertha, Missouri and departed this life on May 23, 2011 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. She was 87 years, 9 months and 20 days of age.
Vina grew up and attended school in the Bertha Community in Douglas County, Missouri. She was united in marriage to Fred Bell. He passed away in August of 1975. She later married Hose Wood and he also preceded her in death. She married Jerry Buckbee on June 18, 1985 in Mtn. Home, Arkansas.
Vina was employed by Brown Shoe Company in Mtn. Grove for over thirty years. In her spare time, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, camping, tending to her flower gardens and family fish fries and get-togethers.
Vina was a loving and caring wife, sister, aunt, great-aunt and friend. She especially enjoyed spending time with her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents and two husbands, she was preceded in death by one brother: Johnnie Bell.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Buckbee of their home; four brothers: L.Z. Bell, Marvin Bell, Dale Bell, and Paul Bell, all of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; two sisters: Reba Driskell of Gentryville, Missouri, and Judith Douthitt of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; two special nieces; several nieces; nephews; great- nieces; great-nephews; and many friends and neighbors.

Visitation:
No Formal, Friends may call after 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 24th in the funeral home.
