Vonya Arlene (Mowan) Lybbert

March 18, 1973 — April 17, 2013

Vonya Arlene Lybbert, daughter of Vaughn and Sharlene (Mayfield) Mowan, was born on March 18, 1973 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, and passed away on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 in the Barnes Jewish Christian Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was 40 years and 29 days of age.

Vonya grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove and Wilsonville, Oregon. She later returned to Mtn. Grove, where she made her home for several years. For the past three years, she was living in Mansfield, Missouri.

Vonya enjoyed being outdoors, especially when riding motorcycles with her fiancé, Shawn. She also liked to do scrapbooking and traveling whenever she got the chance.
She had a great attitude and stayed very positive, throughout her illness. She kept her faith in the Lord and trusted Him to take care of her.

Vonya was a loving and caring daughter, mother, grandmother, companion, sister, and friend. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her sister: Teresa Top in 2011; and by her maternal grandfather: Lewis Mayfield; paternal grandfather: Horace Mowan; and by her paternal grandmother: Arlean Howes.

Vonya is survived by her fiancé: Shawn Moss of Mansfield, Missouri; her mother and step-father: Sharlene and Jerry Bradley of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; her father and step-mother: Vaughn and Susie Mowan of Christmas Valley, Oregon; two sons: Luther Moore and Trenton Moore, both of Mtn. Grove; two grandchildren: Bentley and Zaylie Moore, and another one on the way; two step-sons: Justin Moss of Mtn. Grove and Charles Moss of Mansfield, Missouri; her maternal grandmother: Joy Mayfield of Mtn. Grove; one brother: Louie Mowan of Mtn. Grove; three step-brothers: Stephen Bradley and his wife, Lela, of Murrieta, California, Rich Jepson and Vince Jepson and his wife, Angie, all of Redmond, Oregon; two step-sisters: Katherine Pae and her husband, Joe, of Exmore, Virginia, and Cindy Vega of Redmond, Oregon; and other relatives and friends.


Visitation: Monday,

8:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt

Chapel.

Funeral Service: Tuesday,

April 23rd at 2:00 PM in the
Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church near Mtn. Grove.

Burial: Willow Springs Cemetery, north of Mtn. Grove.
