Walter Jerome Massey Jr.

Walter Jerome Massey, son Eula May Parsons and the late Walter Massey, was born on February 12, 1964 in Mountain Grove, Missouri, and departed this life on January 25, 2016 at his home in Vanzant, Missouri, at 51 years of age.
Jerome was raised on the family farm in Drury, Missouri and attended Dora School. He married Amanda Summers on November 14, 2013 in Hartville, Missouri.
Jerome was a good horseman. He spent time breaking, training, and riding his whole life. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had attended church at Black Jack and was saved at a young age.
Besides his father, Jerome was preceded in death by his brother: Jimmy Massey; and by a sister: Joann Massey.
He is survived by his wife: Amanda Massey; his mother, Eula May Parsons-Massey and Kent Lee of Drury; two daughters: Gabrielle Lewis of Vanzant, and Brittney Hayes; one step-son: Rhett Lewis of Vanzant; two granddaughters: Reagan and Ruby; one sister: Tammy Rhoads and her husband, David, of Drury; one nephew: Joshua Rhoads; one niece: Andrea Witt; and other family and friends who will miss him greatly.


Memorial Service: Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Black Jack Church.

Burial: Blanche Cemetery at a later date.
