Wayne Berry

Wayne Berry, son of the late James and Ella (Alms) Berry, was born March 22, 1930, in Trail, Missouri, and departed this life February 27, 2021, in West Plains, Missouri. He was 90 years, 11 months, and 5 days of age.

Wayne grew up and graduated high school in Dora, Missouri. He was united in marriage to Jeanetta Spradlin on April 1, 1954, in Springfield, Indiana. Three children were born to this union.

Wayne worked on the assembly line for General Motors in Columbus, Ohio, for nineteen years. He then moved his family to Missouri and began farming.

Besides his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include his loving wife of nearly sixty-seven years, Jeanetta Berry, two sons, William Berry of West Plains, Missouri, and Joe Berry and wife, Kay, of Ozark, Missouri, one daughter, Joyce Rigger of Nixa, Missouri, four grandchildren, Serenity Matney and husband, Anthony, Danelle Berry, Amy Jo Berry, and Eli Rigger, six great-grandchildren, Joe Ervin, Dalton Ervin, Makayla Lambert, Kyle May, Levi May, and Henry Matney, two great-great-grandchildren, Declan Ervin and J.D. Jackson, and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him greatly.
