Wilda Louise Miller

October 31, 1921 — January 14, 2008

Wilda Louise Miller, daughter of the late Otis and Martha (Tibbets) Hawk, was born on October 31, 1921 in Keokuk County, Iowa, and departed this life on January 14, 2008 in the Autumn Oaks Caring Center in Mtn. Grove, Missouri, following a long illness. She was 86 years, 2 months, and 14 days of age.
Wilda grew up and attended school in Iowa. She was united in marriage to Robert Miller on February 15, 1957 in Sigourney, Iowa. Two children were born to this union. They moved to the Mtn. Grove community in the late 1960’s where they raised their family. Wilda enjoyed reading, watching old movies, listening to music, and attending music shows in Branson, Missouri.
She enjoyed attending services at the First Baptist Church in Mtn. Grove as long as her health permitted.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and visiting with her friends. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters.
She is survived by her son: Robert Miller and his wife, Marsha, of Fort Smith, Arkansas; her daughter: Martha Hull and companion, Craig Hogan, of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; two grandchildren: Adam Watson and Ashley Stogden; and other relatives and friends.
Memorial services for Wilda Miller were held Wednesday, January 16, 2008, 6:00 PM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel with Rev. Gene Edwards officiating. Song selections were “Precious Memories,” “How Great Thou Art,” and “Amazing Grace.” Arrangements were under the direction of the Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home, Mtn. Grove, Missouri.
