William 'Buck' Leo Cleaver

April 6, 1918 — March 16, 2011

Buck grew up and attended school in the Huggins area. He was united in marriage to Ruby Peterson on March 10, 1940 in Mtn. Grove, Missouri. Three children were born to this union. After they were married, they moved to California where Buck was employed at a dairy business. They later moved back to Mtn. Grove where he and Ruby owned and operated a dairy farm. In 1955, they moved to Colorado and lived there until retiring from farming in 1977. They returned to Missouri and lived once again in the Mtn. Grove area. Ruby passed away in December of 1991.
Buck later married Betty Jean (Montgomery) Barnes on April 18, 1998. She passed away on January 11, 2011.
Buck was a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather, friend, and neighbor. He enjoyed visiting and sharing stories with those around him.
Besides his parents and his wives, he was preceded in death by three sisters: Arvella, Claudia, and Lila; and by one grandson: Dan Brown.
He is survived by his son: Jerry Cleaver of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two daughters: Elaine Hickerson of Springfield, Missouri, and Linda Brown and her husband, Rex, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends who will sadly miss him.

Funeral Service:
Monday, March 21st, 10:00 AM in the Craig-Hurtt Chapel.

Visitation:
Sunday, March 20th, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the funeral home.
