William Coble

William Edward Coble, son of the late William Franklin and Amanda Lizzie Bell (Vandiver) Coble, was born November 2, 1941, in Graff, Missouri, and passed away at his home in Mountain Grove, Missouri, May 10, 2019. He was 77 years, 6 months, and 8 days of age.

William graduated from Mountain Grove High School in 1960. He married Beverly Ann Creiger at the preacher’s house on June 11, 1960. One son was born to this union. William and Beverly moved to the Kansas City area and lived there for 31 years. He worked for General Motors in the paint department. He was also the UAW Union Local 93 Stewart and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Independence, Missouri.

In 1991, William retired and in 1993, He and Beverly moved back to Mountain Grove. William was saved after moving back to Mountain Grove and became a member of the Greenwood Church of the Brethren.

In his spare time, William enjoyed woodworking, making knickknacks and furniture. He also liked to do body work on tractors and cars. He was a history buff and also liked politics. William greatly enjoyed holidays and family gatherings and always looked forward to them. He was very close to his grandson and nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, William was preceded in death by a nephew, Scott Hines.

He is survived by his loving wife of their home, Beverly Coble, his son, Kent Coble and his wife, Sharon, of Independence, Missouri, his grandson, Quintin Tyler Coble, one brother, Russell Coble of Mountain Grove, Missouri, one sister, Phyllis Prock and her husband, Ted, of Lone Jack, Missouri, one brother-in-law, Larry Creiger and his wife, Roberta, of Mountain Grove, Missouri, three nieces, Kimberly Perryman and her husband, Casey, Debra Cantwell and her husband, Shane, and Holly Berry and her husband, Randy, one nephew, John Creiger, and many other relatives, neighbors, and friends who will dearly miss him.
